N-gap is an acronym for NIGERIAN GRADUATE ADVANCEMENT PROGRAM.
We are a research driven social service organization, with a goal to improve the global competitive index of Nigerian students, with the specific purpose of reducing unemployment via improving the employability quotient of Nigerian graduates.
Even though Nigeria's unemployment rate is very high, recruiters and employers of labor agree that 80% of the graduates presenting themselves for employment are unemployable. Nigerian labor market is therefore faced with a chronic case of un-employability, which contributes largely to the unemployment figures.
We define un-employability as a situation where an individual lacks the basic intellectual, social, and technical skills necessary to enable him secure a good job or create one.
| An employable person therefore has the capacity to |
 |
Attract a highly rewarding job that suites his educational back ground and unique trainings |
 |
Create a highly profitable job via strategic business development, thus becoming an employer of labor. |
